Just another diarist on Mother Earth

Me, a graphic designer? *chuckles*

Tomorrow is the submission of the logos for Essentials of Graphic Design. We are supposed to design six logos for the different attractions in the newly opened Gardens By The Bay. I hope Ms Teh likes my work because I spent a humongous amount of time on them. I am happy with the end product for my logos given that I am pretty bad at using the "pen tool" on Adobe Illustrator. I also dislike converting anchor points, yuck!

My six logos are all designed using lines (straight/curves) and the unique bit is that the lines are all not connected. I guess the theme for my logos will be "unconnected lines". It is important to have a theme when we design the six logos because we would want people to know that all these logos belong to the same organization.

Here are my logos:

I designed a butterfly because I can imagine countless of butterflies in a lovely meadow.  I see that a lot in cartoons and children's story books.

Taman Masagung means "Park of the royal gold" in the Malay language. Therefore, I designed a crown!

I designed a swan because this particular attraction is used for private events such as wedding receptions, fine dining and etc. I feel that swans are really elegant and gentle which best fit for these private events.

The roof of this particular attraction uses clear glass. In order to view the beauty of this attraction, the sun is really important so as to shine through the clear glass and then, to the area.

Lily Pad is an area to carry out family events and etc. I feel that every family should be closely bonded like how our five fingers are all connected together to make a palm.

At night, Silver Leaf is a magical place with all the fanciful lights and decorations. From young, Neopets taught me to associate magic with potion bottles!
